The Classic Data Principle

“Different from the rest” – over 40 years of experience

Over many years of valuation practice, Classic Data and its affiliated partner offices have carried out over 400,000 vehicle valuations. This represents a perhaps unique collection of vehicle data on classic cars actually present in Germany. Together with the long-standing archive, this constitutes a resource that is likely to be rare in Germany in this form.

Independent, neutral, and objective
Classic Data is an economically independent company that is not owned, either in part or in whole, by other interest groups such as insurance companies or investment companies. Classic Data is also not involved in the vehicle trade or restoration business. This is the only way to guarantee a neutral position, which is one reason why Classic Data is accepted beyond national borders.

Classic Data valuations according to the “four-eyes principle”
As a matter of principle, vehicle valuations according to the Classic Data System are always carried out in accordance with the principle of clear separation of duties.
On behalf of the expert, the Classic Data central office determines the general value of the vehicle type to be valued using the usual 5 condition grades. In addition, all data is manually verified for correctness and consistency by trained employees.

The expert inspects the vehicle on site, independently determines a condition rating, and prepares his report with the help of the vehicle values and information determined by Classic Data.
These values are provided to the expert as a basis for preparing their report. The expert inspects the vehicle on site, independently determines a condition rating, and determines a final value with the help of Classic Data market values and taking into account all factors that influence value.
